Our Philosophy

“Anyone can enhance their potential and become "Strong in Body, Stoic in Mind”

- Connor Campbell

  • Giving our clients direction and muting the "noise" of conflicting information in the fitness industry.

“If one does not know which port to sail, no wind is favourable" - Seneca

Stoicism gives you direction and clears your mind to focus on things that you can control and are important to you.

In short, we don't care about fluff or the latest trend, we do what works. And we work with you inside and outside of the gym.

  • We don't just train people so that they can "Tone up" or "Lose Weight", although those aims and goals are something we want to know, what we want to get into is the why.

To empower our clients to have courage and go after things they never thought they could achieve.

This counts for physical and mental strength. Training people can be easy. But making better humans is a lifelong pursuit.

  • I am heavily influenced by the process-oriented system and have been influenced by James Clear on this Topic.

My system works for me and my team. It may not work for you, and that's ok because there are plenty of other coaches out there.

For me, a system is something that can be hard to develop at first but ultimately leads to far great actionable habits and lifestyle. It's an everyday thing. Not a tomorrow thing.

our values

Stoic Strength Systems has four pillars or values That mirror the virtues taken from stoicism.

These are the lion, the owl, the scale and the hourglass.

  • Courage to do things that might seem daunting, to put yourself out of your comfort zone and work hard to achieve your goals. Be unrelenting in the face of hardship.

“Sometimes even to live is an act of courage.” - Seneca

  • Wisdom to understand that we are in control of our future and how we react to our situations. Our external circumstances are not what defines our character. Our character is defined by how we react to them. Be indifferent to the things that make no difference.

“We cannot choose our external circumstance, but we can choose how to react to them” - Epictetus

  • Justice to conduct ourselves with kindness and morality. Avoid focusing on the things you lack. Instead, be happy with your blessings. Always try to do the right thing. Be kind even if it’s not reciprocated.

“And you can also commit injustice by doing nothing” - Marcus Aurelius

  • Temperance to understand self-discipline and moderation. Impressive results or enormous changes are possible without herculean effort or magic formulas.

Small adjustments, good systems, the right processes—that’s what it takes. Do the right thing, in the right amount, in the right way.

“Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be One.” - Marcus Aurelius
